Hi Jen - Thanks for your comment and putting it out there about how much you spend. If I pay close attention, I know I can spend less, so I am working on that lately. The initial jump into the celiac lifestyle can be daunting and it can be expensive to try all the new products out there. And those new products aren't always good for the waistline either. (Take it from me, I learned the hard way!) You say that your milk price went up, is this because you are now drinking dairy free milk? If you have a Trader Joe's nearby, they have dairy alternative milks for cheaper. We've pretty much eliminated cow milk in our house and only occasionally use non-dairy milk, mainly for baking or cooking. I was lactose intolerant for so long (until my gut healed) that dairy milk is not appealing to me. Let me know if you have any questions or need suggestions on products, etc. Always happy to help. rseuler (at) hotmail (dot) com

For just my husband and me we spend around 100-150 a week as well. I just recently found out I have Celiacs so our amount seems to have jumped up a lot. We used to spend less at the grocery store but more on dining out but weve gone out only once since i was diagnosed so we may have actually ended up spending more. We are trying to eat less meat and dairy which seems more expensive bc my half gallon is $4 when a gallon was closer to $3. Im new to cooking so this has been quite a learning process for me! I have you site on my iphone home screen for easy access! Thanks!
